  A recent asset management survey of 150 respondents found that 84% still use manual labor to locate and track inventory or high value assets. All of the respondents (100%) report that the latency associated with current inventory systems results in the incorrect location of inventory.This occurs often because by the time the asset/inventory is located and input in an inventory management or enterprise system, its ‘original’ status has changed. More than 3/4 of respondents (78%) reported that operations personnel perform at least one search per day for inventory, with 25% reporting more than 10 searches per day.
