Unprecedented technology enables ORBIS to conduct rigorous product testing to confirm high
levels of performance and reliability. The
ORBIS Product Testing Lab offers significant real life
application testing to provide high quality, realistic solutions.
-
Computerized Thermal Testing Chamber: Used to expose and condition actual product
to the thermal extremes seen in application. The thermal chamber is used for both short and
long duration load evaluation and can assist in accelerated life testing of product.
-
Dynamic Compression Test Equipment: A custom designed, computer controlled test
stand, this equipment is used to simulate and record product performance under a wide range
of
loading configurations and conditions.
-
Inclined Impact Test Equipment: A number of different types of impact hazards
(fork
tines, fork heel, blunt edge, etc.) can be used to impact pallets, bulk containers and totes
to simulate
real world handling. Energy absorption and ultimate failure modes and levels can be
validated.
-
Vertical Drop Test Equipment: Various orientations, heights and loads are used to
evaluate
the impact resistance and performance of returnable product.
-
Static Compression Load Testing: Long-term load carrying and column stacking
strength
is determined using vertical static loads that are monitored for change over time.
-
Environmental Stress Cracking Bath: Evaluates the short and long-term effects when
product is exposed to a variety of chemicals typically used in a manufacturing environment.
-
Single and Multi Axis Vibration Test: Evaluates product performance when exposed
to a
variety of vibration profiles (frequency and amplitude) used to simulate, over the road,
trailer and
rail transportation.
